BASTIA MARKET

A flea market is held there on Sunday mornings. Now let's head to the market square in the old town center. Every Saturday and Sunday morning, there's the town market. Fruits and vegetables, cheeses, and charcuterie are on offer, along with fritelle (cheese fritters). The best thing to do is enjoy them hot on a terrace with a Cap Corse to the sound of the bells of Saint Jean church. That's the Bastia way of life...

THE OLD PORT OF BASTIA

With this short break over, let's eat at the old port. Pleasure boats and fishing boats lend it all its charm. Sit back and admire the surrounding architecture, a joyful place where the Genoese Empire left its mark. You can continue your visit by passing through the Romieux Gardens to reach the citadel and the Governor's Palace, which is now partly occupied by the Bastia Museum. The citadel offers a superb view of the sea. There, you'll find restaurants and bars. Why not head to Boulevard Paoli and Rue Napoléon? These two streets are full of boutiques where you can do your shopping.

Staying in Bastia

After this beautiful day, let's head back to the hotel. Now you've seen a good part of the city, so you can enjoy dinner in your favorite spot this evening. If you want to go swimming or do some sport before dinner, you can now reach the Arinella from the city center on foot thanks to the Spassimare. As you can see, there's a lot to discover in Bastia, and this is just a small part of it. If you're staying at our hotel for several days, we'll be happy to recommend the best spots in Bastia and the surrounding region.
